    Coco Glucoside is an non-ionic surfactant that can be use as a foaming, cleansing, conditioning, and thickening agent to liquid cleansers and shampoos. In addition, It is derived from renewable raw materials such as coconut oil and corn and fruit sugars and is completely biodegradable. Moreover, It is GMO-free and contains no diethanolamine’s, lauryl sulfates, laurate sulfates, parabens and phthalates, or formaldehyde.

    The 980 represents the specific molecular weight and composition of the polymer. Carbomer 980 polymer is a thickening agent that helps control the viscosity and rhealogy of cosmetic products. It also helps distribute and suspend insoluble solids into liquid. Our Coco Glucoside Natural Surfactant also prevents the oil and liquid parts of a solution from separating. 

    At low temperatures, surfactants may undergo a phenomenon called “gel formation,” in which the surfactant molecules arrange themselves in a specific structure.

    To address this, gently heating the product can liquefy the hardened surfactant. This can be done by either passing hot water over the container or diluting the solution with water to break down the gel-like structure.

    Uses

    Shampoos, shower gels, bubble baths, hand and face cleansers, and other applications.

    Simple formulations:

    Ingredients:

    50% Coco Glucoside

    45% Water

    4% Glycerin (optional, for moisturizing properties)

    1% Essential oil (optional, for fragrance)

    Instructions:

    In a mixing container, combine Coco Glucoside and water in the specified percentages. For example, if you want to make 100 grams of shampoo, you will use 50 grams of Coco Glucoside and 45 grams of water.

    Stir the mixture gently until the Coco Glucoside is well incorporated with the water. You can use a spoon or a whisk for this step.

    If desired, add 4 grams of glycerin to the mixture and stir well.

    Optionally, add 1 gram of your preferred essential oil for fragrance. Stir again to ensure it is evenly distributed.

    Transfer the shampoo into a suitable container or bottle for storage and use.

    To thicken the shampoo

    Cocamidopropyl Betaine 15%

    xanthan gum 0.1% to 0.5% (1300)

    carrageenan gum 0.1% to 1% (1100)

    carboxy methyl cellulose 0.1% to 0.8% (1300)
