Tamanu Oil: Unrefined Natural

Our Natural Tamanu Oil is Unrefined, which means it is in the purest form that it can possibly be in. We derive our entirely natural thick vegetable Tamanu oil from the seed of a Tamanu Tree. It is not edible, but it is used mainly for cosmetic products by many. Particularly preferred are its healing properties. It is a true oil of the sun since below a temperature of 25 ° C, it solidifies. Like all oils, it is not soluble in water but can be diluted without a worry in other vegetable oils.

The fruits are first picked, then the nuts are extracted, and exposed to the sun to dry for 4 to 8 weeks. The nuts lose about 1/3 of their initial weight during this drying time and are filled gradually with oil. We use the cold pressure technique to extract the oil and then we filter it to remove all impurities. Natural tocopherol is finally added to stabilize the oil, thus obtaining the oil of Tamanu.
