Has also thickening and solubilizing properties (stabilizes essential oils). GMS-165 is a self-emulsifying, and thickening blend of emulsifiers including glyceryl monostearate (48-52%) & PEG-100 stearate 48-52%).

Uses:

Warm to melt before use, dispersible in oil or water, use 2-8% in formulations. For external use only.Applications: All kinds of cosmetics requiring emulsification as lotions, creams, gels.

Raw material source:

Soy oil Manufacture: Glyceryl stearate is made by reacting glycerin with stearic acid, a fatty acid obtained from soy oil. PEG-100 stearate is made by the ethoxylation (polymerization of ethylene oxide) of stearic acid.
