Here at Cocojojo we take safety very seriously. Therefore, we always recommend that when handling these raw materials that you have a first-aid kit readily available. 

• At pure usage levels it can cause irritation to the skin.
• When blending always take the following precautions:
• Use gloves (disposable is ideal)
• Take care when handling hot oils
• Wear eye protection
• Work in a well-ventilated room
• Keep ingredients and hot oils away from children
• If ingested, seek immediate medical advice
• If contact made with eyes, rinse immediately with clean warm water and seek medical advice if in any doubt.

Glyceryl Stearate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate

PROPERTIES:

All-natural oil-in-water emulsifier (enables water & oil to mix), enhanced skin feels due to acyl lactylates. Fatty acids, lactic acid & sodium lactate are all found as natural moisturizers in the skin, blend does not require the aid of other emulsifiers, high electrolyte tolerance, has also dispersing, thickening & moisturizing properties.

RECOMMENDED USE RATE:

2-10%, typically about 8%. For external use only.

Applications:

All kinds of cosmetics requiring emulsification as lotions, creams, lip balm, lip sticks. Emulsions can be prepared easily by incorporating EcoMakeit Emulsifying Blend  in the oil phase and then heating it 70-80c. Once the two phases reach this temperature, the water phase is added to the oil phase in a thin stream using mechanical agitation.

The emulsion is then stirred down to a temperature above the solidification point of the cream (to 30c for a lotion). In addition, These emulsions are very stable, easy spreading systems.
